Einige haben hier und da bereits mitbekommen, dass die Produktion etwas Schwierigkeiten hat. Ich bin dauernd via Telefon in Verbindung mit der Fabrik in Kapstadt und wir lösen ein Problem nach dem anderen, sodass die Taschen auch in der richtigen Qualität geliefert werden können.
Ein erstes Problem mit dem Stoff wurde gelöst, der Stoff vom Innenfutter wurde bereits nachgedruckt und geliefert.
Bei den Taschen ist es wichtig, dass die korrekten Nieten angebracht werden. Hier kam leider ein neues Problem auf. Die 12mm Nieten mit einem 10 mm Kopf sind eine Seltenheit in Südafrika, was eine Lieferverzögerung zur Folge hatte. Nun werden die Maschinen dementsprechend eingestellt, dass diese Nieten auch korrekt montiert werden können.
Am Montag werden die Taschen ihren Finish erhalten. Während dem B-Sides Festival (14.-16.6.) sollten sie verfrachtet werden. Dann können wir nur noch auf die Post hoffen.

Dear friends,
Some of you have already heard that the production has some difficulties. I am constantly in touch with the factory in Cape Town. We are solving one problem after the other, so that the bags can be delivered in the right quality.
The problem with the fabric (mentioned in the previous mail) has been solved, the extra patch of fabric for the lining has already been printed and delivered.
For the bags, it is important that the correct rivets are being used. Which created a new problem. The 12mm rivets with the 10mm head are a rarity in South Africa, which resulted in a delivery delay.
Now the machines are being adjusted accordingly, that these rivets can also be mounted correctly.
On Monday, the bags will get their finish. During the B-Sides Festival (14.-16.6.), they should be shipped-off to Luzern. Then we can only hope everything goes smoothly with the freight.
